Since we're now on the 6th day of December, that means that I'm now half way through my 12 day beauty advent calendar from Tanya Burr's range. I'd had my eye on Tanya's calendar last year but it sold out before I could manage to grab one, so unfortunately I had to miss out! This year I was not taking any chances though and ended up buying this calendar in October and I'm so glad I did because for £25 this 12 Days of Christmas beauty advent calendar is a good one.
So far I've opened doors to 2 lip glosses, a sparkly nail varnish, a mini nail file, a compact mirror and a glitter pot. It's hard to pick a favourite but I think the glitter pot named 'Champagne Sparkle' is probably my favourite up to now. It's something that I've never seen in Tanya's range and I hope she does a tutorial using it soon to give me some inspiration on how to wear it!
I also love the nail varnish named 'Glitters and Gold' (if there's one thing that Tanya always nails with her products it's the names) and can't wait to use it on my day off tomorrow. The glitter such a stunning rose gold/copper colour and I am a complete sucker for anything this colour, typical blogger!
The compact mirror and nail file are really cute and will be great to pop in my bag. These items weren't as exciting as the other doors but I was expecting some 'fillers' as the calendar is only £25 so I suppose you can't really expect all make up products. I do love the design on them, however.
When I bought the calendar it was mostly because I had the lip glosses in mind. I love the lip glosses from Tanya's range so I was super excited to see the limited edition colours she's come out with for Christmas. Out of the two I think Candy Cane is my favourite which is a bright pink with fine glitter in it, but I also love Cherry Pavlova which is a classic red, perfect for the festive season!
Overall I'm more than happy with my beauty treats so far from this advent calendar and I'll be doing another post in 6 days to show you all what the second half brings me.
