Neutrals are out, Neons are in!
When I saw Huda Beauty's new launch of neon palette, I knew I had to try one. I always say that I don't need more eyeshadows because I have so many palettes already, but this really is something different and the palette comes with shades that were definitely not already in my collection.
Huda's neon launch consists of 3 neon palettes that each feature a mixture of 9 mattes and metallic shades. There's a pink one and a green one, but the one that really caught my eye was the orange one. The orange palette has pinks, purples, yellows and, of course, orange and it was the palette that looked the most fun to play around with.
I've really grown to love a pop of colour when it comes to eyeshadows and when I used this palette for the first time I was very pleasantly surprised at how bright these shades really are. For a night out, I put down a neutral, smokey base and then applied the orange/pink shade in the top right corner of the palette in the inner corners of my eyes, and then used the pink glitter shade in the centre of my lid and WOW, did my eyes pop!
Although the shades already look bright in the pans, when swatched they really come to life. They apply quite easily for such bright colour, although the glitter shades are definitely better when used with a wet brush.
In my opinion, the palette is a little pricey at £27 for 9 shades, but as I said these shades are something new and really exciting to the beauty industry that is currently filled with neutrals upon neutrals. I'm not saying I don't like neutral shades because your gal definitely likes a good golden smokey eye, but bright colours are super fun to play with and really add a pop to your look. The palette also has a mirror which is always a major bonus, and not to mention how beautiful the packaging in!
I'm so glad I picked up this palette and I can't wait to create more looks with it. What do you think of the neon eyeshadow trend? Is it something you're going to try? Let me know in the comments, let's chat!

Stay in the loop!
I've seen these in Sephora recently, and just didn't think it would be something I could pull off! I'm sure the colours all look insane with your blonde hair x

Aw thank you! I think there's shades between the 3 palettes that would suit any hair colour, you should definitely give them a go! X
