MAC x Nicki's Nude

So today I'm super excited to tell you all about one of my new favourite lipsticks, Nicki's Nude from Mac! Lipstick posts were one of my favourite posts to do when I first started out as, if you follow my blog then by now, you should know that I'm a lip product addict!

When I first heard that Mac were bringing out a collab with Nicki Minaj, I have to admit, I wasn't overly excited. However, then I saw Nikkie from NikkieTutorials feature them in a video and I was sold! I was tempted to get both limited edition shades but as pink isn't really my thing, I decided to go for Nicki's Nude.

First of all, the texture. This is my first time trying a Mac lipstick in the finish 'amplified' and I have to say, I think it's my new fave! I like creme sheen for it's moisturising and glossy finish but I feel like it can shift quite easily, whereas with the amplified finish you still get that creamy and slightly glossy finish but it feels a bit more in place. Plus, I feel like it has a longer lasting power which is always a quality I look for in lip products.

The lipsticks shade name does suggest it's a nude, but when it first arrived I thought it would look a bit more coral on me rather than a nude. However, on application, paired with Mac's boldly bare lip liner, it transformed into the perfect creamy nude! Granted, it is still a little coral coloured on me but I love coral shades so I'm not complaining! I love that although Nicki Minaj has a darker skin tone this nude is still versatile for a lot of skin tones!

Also, can we just take a second to talk about the packaging please?! It's absolutely stunning! Out of all of my limited edition Mac lippies this packaging is definitely my favourite so far. The metallic copper colour compliments the lipstick shade perfectly and, like with most of Mac's collabs, Nicki's autograph is printed across the front. 

Overall I just love, love LOVE this lipstick, and you can expect to see me wearing it a lot from now on!
