I know what you're all thinking... horse shampoo and conditioner? As in for a horse's mane/tail? Why? But honestly, this stuff has been a saviour for my bleached hair!
I've been getting highlights since around the age of 15, and although I don't get a lot of bleach put in there is still a good portion of my hair that gets bleached and in the past few months I've really started to notice just how bad condition my hair is in.
I've always left my hair quite natural and not used many heat appliances on it. I usually let it air dry unless I don't have time and I only really use heat on it when I'm going out, the rest of the time I only straighten over the top part of my hair and leave the ends naturally wavy. However, in the past few months I started to notice just how bad my hair had gotten, it didn't fall like hair. It was really wirey and barely had any moisture in it at all. It's also gone really thin which I hate as it just seems to be getting thinner and thinner as I'm getting older. I was telling my hairdresser about my problem and she whispered "Horse shampoo!". I thought it seemed strange at first but when you think about it, it really makes sense.
Horses have really thick hair so obviously their hair needs a lot more conditioning to make it manageable, so basically by using it you got a lot more extra conditioning going into your own locks. After a few weeks of using this shampoo and conditioner combo I've really started to see the difference. My hair feels so much softer and doesn't have that 'wirey' texture it did before, it also feels slightly thicker which I'm loving!
For around £10 you can get a reasonably big bottle of the shampoo and conditioner off Amazon, which last for ages and they even have an extra moisturising version! I'm definitely going to continue using this hair combo as I'm hoping to go silver/lilac in the summer so I need all the help my hair can get!
I honestly couldn't recommend these products enough! Have you ever tried a product that's meant for something else but worked for you?

I've heard so many good things about horse shampoo recently, but I'm so scared to try it out because my hair is already crazy thick and frizzy! I'd love to have the moisturising benefits, but if my hair gets any thicker, I'll look like a lion. It's a bit of a predicament!
