Why I'm So Glad I Started This Blog..
6 May 2016
I was never very good at English in school, which is why when I started this blog I didn't think anything would come of it, but how wrong was I! I started blogging as it looked like a fun hobby and after reading some other blogs I thought 'hey, I want to do that!', but I never imagined that it would become a pretty big part of my life. It's also a miracle that I've kept up with this blog for so long as I'm normally the type of person to jump from hobby to hobby, but I've found a huge love for blogging and here's just a few reasons why...
1. Confidence - Growing up I definitely lacked confidence, especially when it came to my appearance and, even though I've become a much more confident person as I've grown up, blogging has definitely played it's part in boosting my confidence just that little bit more. I feel like still to this day this blog is helping me find myself and what kind of person I want to be.
2. Community - The blogging community is something that really surprised me. Everyone is so supportive, friendly and helpful. As opposed to Youtube which seems like a whirl of competitiveness, the blogging community is more about building each other up and admiring other's work and achievements, it gives out so much positive energy.
3. Friends - I've met so many lovely people through blogging, and I've actually now formed a few real friendships from online friendships. Meeting the North East blogger babes that I've had the pleasure of meeting so far has allowed me to meet some lovely ladies who I now consider to be friends of mine, and not just someone who I talk to over Twitter. This brings me on to my next point...
4. Events - I am lucky enough that I sometimes get invited to exclusive events through my blog such as openings and launches. This is still a crazy concept to me and always makes me feel like I'm playing VIP for the day! I love the fact that I now have the opportunity to work with different companies and brands, and events are also a great reason to get dressed up! I'm also lucky enough to sometimes walk away with goodie bags from these events too which I am always so grateful for.
5. Love - Blogging is something that I simply just love to do. Growing up I could never find the right hobby that fit me, and now I've finally found the perfect match! I've always been a creative person so this blog is a fab creative outlet for me and it's also something that I love putting time and effort into. Another reason why I love blogging is that it helps me to be more positive. This blog is something that is growing everyday and I'm so proud of my little space on the internet when I see the effort that I put into it is starting to pay off.
So those are my reasons on why I'm so glad that I took the plunge and started this blog, what about you? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

It's so nice to read things like this and to hear people's personal thoughts on why they actually started blogging in the first place and why they have grown to love it so much so that they consider it to be a large part of their life. I completely agree with every point you have said too! I'm so glad I started blogging when I did and it genuinely is the thing that I'm most passionate about. DeleteI definitely think blogging can increase someone's confidence because you have people saying they like what you blog about and so forth. I also think the internet as a whole helps a lot of people that are rather shy in person gain confidence because there is no face-to-face interaction. :)
